Uniting two industries typically dominated by a fairly homogeneous demographic, Funny People Making Food is an unscripted digital series that aims to showcase a diverse set of voices in the culinary and comedy space.
FPMF was created and is hosted by chef, actor, and comedian Erica Wides. In each episode Erica invites herself into a comedian's home, where they cook and discuss the finer points of food, comedy, and whether using white pepper means you’re racist (yes, sorry it does).
Episodes are shot in the guest’s actual kitchen, where they cook something the guest has selected. It could be a nostalgic childhood food or an updated version of their go-to recipe. As they cook, we learn about a popular personality through a unique and intimate lens, and may even pick up a few cooking tips.
There will be laughs, there might be tears, and there will definitely be good food.
